Setting up a planned gift lets you manage your finances while making a long-term difference in the work we do. Whether you set up a fund or include us in your will, you’ll be leaving a legacy of hope and freedom for the Dalit people.
Annuities allow you to give while securing an income for yourself. Dalit Freedom Network partners with Link Charity to help donors with this kind of planned giving. When you donate a capital sum to Link Charity they guarantee you payments at an attractive rate for the rest of your life. Link Charity invests your donation in an investment pool and it generates a return. Upon your death the residual capital is released to Dalit Freedom Network.
Donor Advised Funds
A donor advised fund allows you to start an investment fund that makes regular gifts to Dalit Freedom Network Australia & New Zealand. Through our partnership with Link Charity, you can set it up to end at a certain time or to continue for generations to come.
Bequests and Wills
A bequest is a gift made in a last will and testament. Bequests are the most common type of planned giving and anyone with a will can make a bequest.
Please consider leaving a legacy of freedom, and including Dalit Freedom Network Australia & New Zealand in your estate. If you have any questions about setting up a bequest, we would be happy to advise you.
Example Gift Clause
A share of the residue (designates a percentage of the remainder of your Estate, once debts and specific gifts in your will have been paid):
“I give to Dalit Freedom Network Australia P.O. Box 7, Nunawading, VIC 3131 _____ % of the residue of my Estate for its charitable purposes.”
A specific gift in your will (designates a specific amount of cash or other asset/s):
“I give to Dalit Freedom Network Australia P.O. Box 7, Nunawading, VIC 3131 the sum of $____________ (or a description of the property or asset) for its charitable purposes.
Individuals can directly donate their security investments (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), providing a direct benefit to both you and to Dalit Freedom Network Australia and New Zealand. A stock donation will eliminate any future capital gains’ tax burden, and you will receive a charitable tax receipt.
