7 Marathons. 7 Days. 1 Incredible Cause.
Join Alex's fight for the voiceless & vulnerable
This September, Alex will push his physical and mental limits by running 7 full marathons across 7 consecutive days.
Every step he takes will help fund a Paramedical College for an entire year through DFN's vital work empowering SE Asia's most impoverished communities, focusing particularly on vulnerable women.
Through holistic support services—including education, healthcare, advocacy, skills training, and specialised care for women and children who have endured abuse and marginalisation—DFN restores hope and dignity to "the least of these."
Will you run alongside Alex to fund life-changing medical education for 500 women and break cycles of poverty and despair?
The Man Taking on the Impossible
Meet Alex – a 35-year-old dad who re-discovered running just two years ago.
Last year, Alex ran his very first marathon – his toughest challenge yet. Crossing that finish line ignited something powerful and opened his eyes to what's possible with determination.
Inspired by DFN's work, Alex decided to combine his love of running with transforming lives through an extraordinary 7-day challenge.
The Challenge: 7 days to change a lifetime
Starting Sunday, August 31st, Alex will run a full marathon (42.2km) every single day for seven consecutive days across Sydney's iconic locations.
This isn't just physical endurance – it's mental resilience and community support creating real change in the world.
Seven days of pain, 300 kilometers of purpose, countless lives transformed. Each step represents hope for those who need it most.
Your Impact: Why Every Step Matters
Every kilometre represents hope for families who desperately need support. Your donation provides quality education to at-risk children in rural communities and delivers non-exploitative healthcare to those who can't afford treatment.
Most importantly, it helps protect vulnerable women and children from exploitation, restoring dignity to those society has forgotten. Together, we can break cycles of poverty and despair that have persisted for generations.
Give Today & Break the Cycle
Every tax-deductible donation directly funds the Paramedical College, giving 500 girls government-accredited medical training in Phlebotomy, Nurse Assistant, Pharmacy Assistant, or Dental Hygienist programs. You're not just giving money—you're giving career opportunities, financial independence, and dignity to young women who've faced marginalisation.
Real Stories, Real Change: Your Donations at Work
According to UNESCO, one in five children are currently not attending school.
There are many reasons for lack of schooling but for millions of children, the number one reason is poverty.
Can you imagine being 12-years-old and instead of excitedly getting ready for a brand-new school year, you are instead told that your life isn’t worth the cost of education?
In many tribal areas stricken with poverty, when girls reach the age of 12 or 13 they become a hindrance on families living in extreme poverty and parents often sell their daughters to the highest bidder.
Dignity Freedom Network provides families like these with choices they never thought they would have - the ability to choose education, to choose nutrition, to choose safety.
Until recently, **Vijaya sold vegetables on a mat outside her hut, earning less than $2AUD/day. Today she owns her very own little shop!
Hidden behind her beaming face, Vijaya carries the scars of a devastating past. From childhood, she endured unimaginable abuse and exploitation. Utterly hopeless, she lost all desire to live.
After meeting our village leaders, she received counselling, support, healthcare and nutritional food. She was equipped with skills and training, and became Village Leader herself. A business grant helped her buy a shop that has become the 'go-to' place for local women, empowering her to earn over five times what she used.
Last month Vijaya intervened for three domestic violence victims, linking them to our support programmes.
This is how a woman's life is transformed forever!
